Those who succeed must have six pillars of successful thinking. Successful way of thinking is also required during the explosion of information and the passing of the changes quickly. What are the seven pillars? Want to know? Consider the following.
Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligences originator discusses five ways of thinking in his book, Five Minds for the Future. Five ways thought comes again with two additional ways of thinking, so that it becomes a success following seven ways of thinking.
This way of thinking Interdisciplinary
According to Gardner, this way of thinking is a requirement to blend harmoniously multiple disciplines and at least one basic skills.
For example, a teacher, not only must master knowledge and skills in pedagogy, but also to enrich themselves on some knowledge from other disciplines, such as psychology, anthropology, philosophy and science.
Thus the teacher to be able to do the work of superior quality. Similarly with other professions, doctors, businessmen, economists and legal experts. So do not stop learning when you graduate from formal education bench, but should last a lifetime.
This way of thinking Synthesis
This way of thinking is needed in this era of information abundance. We should be able to synthesize information, or to sort out the information and select and integrate information and knowledge that we need to finish the job, find solutions to problems, or provide advice and answer questions.
Creating a way of thinking
This way of thinking is needed to discover and understand new things, such as new ideas, new problems, new phenomena, or new solutions. New things that later became a pioneer of change towards the better. The discovery of the new stuff is not necessary to wait until the demand for the creation, but more needs to be done once continuous, and continuously, so as not to be a follower of change but rather as the creator of the change.
This way of thinking Respect
This way of thinking is one way of thinking to realize and appreciate the differences that exist between human beings, whether in culture, beliefs, opinions, and also how to think. By applying a respect for differences, we just open our eyes and minds to the differences that can enrich our lives as awareness of such diversity. Instead, thinking this respect also open the eyes of others to appreciate the fruits of our minds.
How to think Ethical
Gardner explains that ethical thinking is the fulfillment of one's responsibilities towards his job or role in the family (a family member), the community (as a society), the state (as a citizen), and the professional world who practiced (as employees or entrepreneurs). Ethics are closely connected with the important responsibility is to add value to one's superior to be distinguished from the crowd.
How to think Positive
One point that can be added from the five ways of thinking proposed by Howard is positive thinking. In life there are many challenges that must and will be addressed. Challenges failure, adversity, rejection and other challenges. All this must be met with positive thinking. With positive thinking, the failure of a valuable life experience that could even encourage someone to move creative thinking to find new solutions.
Long-term way of thinking
Success will be worth it if only for a moment to be enjoyed. For that one needs to implement a long-term way of thinking, in order to achieve balance and happiness that can still be enjoyed in the future. This way of thinking is closely linked to ethical thinking and respect for the rights of others, including the right of future generations to also enjoy the comfort and success that has been achieved.
The world today, especially in the future make us have to face various demands, changes and challenges. All of these will be easier to face a seventh way of thinking just discussed. What about you? Way of thinking which you already own? Begin to invest effort and time to implement ways of thinking that you have not tried. Good thinking and success for all of us.
